Here is an extremely simple guideline for self-promotion on /r/cyber_punk:

Yes.

"Self-promotion" seems to be one of Reddit's evil buzzwords. Above all, thou shalt not ever "self-promote", otherwise you will transform into a fire-breathing dragon.

Meanwhile, back in reality...

...how can your work be seen if you don't promote it?

It seems like most non-creative people believe that news articles aren't promotion. The opposite is true. Every time read about an article about a new Hollywood blockbuster, for example, you are also taking part in their promotional machine.

Independent writers and artists don't have the massive marketing muscle of Hollywood, so if you want to be seen, you must "self-promote".

Even if the only items you post here are in promotion of your work, that's fine. Make sure that your promotional pieces only appear once per week at the most. That way, you can rest assured that your work will be seen without posting too often.

Promote your cyberpunk/sci-fi writing and art here. As long as the title isn't spammy, it's fine (and if necessary, you'll get a note explaining why any posts were removed).

Simple. Yes. Promote your work here.
