The republic will be back in a week or so. Why? I could say 'cause I say so' but that kind of beats the point of ending a dictatorship, doesn't it...
Because Isenburg has had a recent bout of activity. Having new citizens such as Cloud and Gersh and the three people on the hill (Darandri and company, although they dont really count as they probably don't live here anymore) means that having a government where the people are more active in deciding their destiny is a viable option. It is no longer easier for me to run everything by myself.
The original plan for the dictatorship was that I would take in the opinions of others and do what they wanted. This has turned into something that is more reliant on me than on the common person in Isenburg. I asked the people that came to the meeting if they would like the republic to come back, and you all said yes, so here we go.
Here is how it will run. If you want to skip me rambling, read the bits in bold.
There will be three Senators. Each Senator is responsible for a task in the borough that can vary from time to time.
The requirements for being a Senator are that they must be active, a citizen of Isenburg, willing to do things such as build farms, clean up grief, pearl petty griefers, attend meetings when they can, and a whole ton of other stuff.
The primary function of Senators besides keeping the borough alive, is that they may vote and propose legislation. This can be anything from 'no sugarcane may be grown in Isen district', to 'all players with red leather hats will be POS'.
The Lord is basically a senator that has extra powers in the borough. I will elaborate if you ask me to.
The Lord may be impeached by a unanimous vote by the senators. A Senator may be impeached by a unanimous vote of the other senators and the Lord.
Terms for both the Lord and Senator are one calendar month long.
Elections will be held in the coming week, most likely with the timeframe for candidacy declarations starting on Friday and ending on midnight Sunday. Elections for the candidates would start on Monday and end on Wednesday.
Please pay attention to the Isenburg subreddit, because otherwise you will miss everything.
Edit: Someone PMed to remove something.
