How do you fully use keeper of dragon magic on duel links

So I summon it and send ritual version black Buster soldier to the gy to get Polly and the next turn I can't use the next effect to reveal the ex deck monster to special summon black luster soldier in face down defense position do I have to summon it the normal way by ritual then have it go to the gy for it to be useable for keeper of dragon magic's next effect?
