Okay I got a thought.

So we can see that Lottie knew she messed up in the wilderness.

If it did or didn’t comeback with them, I have a feeling Lottie is behind everything. As for why, I’m not really sure, but I think it has to do with her losing control again or having some type of bitterness that these other women have somewhat normal lives after when she had to go through a whole different kind of hell. And by normal I mean they weren’t sent away to have their brain zapped. But I have this feeling she is behind more than we think. I’m not sure so any theories are welcome!

Here are my reasonings because I gotta lay them out for myself.

• Lottie adopted the symbol. She is about using our hardest times to overcome them. And it could be her way of basically saying “fuck you im in control” but I can’t imagine using that symbol for a new business

• The land she is one looks a lot like where they were. That would be triggering right?

• Most of us don’t believe he story about Travis’s death. She probably located him because he was so secluded and tried to use him as an offering.

• People in her cult fear her. I can’t think of her name, but the girl who Nat comes close to, you can see she is scared when Lottie calls her out on making her smoothie wrong.

• She cuts her hand in some kind of attempt of offering.

• The bee hive. To me it represents her (queen bee) dying. She is the queen bee of this commune. Yes it happens after events take place bringing them all together but I think it’s more of a way to tell her that her recent attempts of offerings haven’t worked.

• She is desperate to know what Nat said to Travis. Like she thinks this is the answer to getting her power back.

• She is the one to bring them all together again. I think she sent the postcards. Triggering some paranoia in all the women. Or hoping to trigger whatever was in them all. She is gaslighting all the women with this self awareness thing she has going.

I just have this feeling that at some point she realizes being everyone’s doormat has never helped her. So after many years of being satisfied, when she feels like she is losing control, she has to bring them all back.
