I was sad to read Phil GC's latest blog post and a bit disheartened reading his comment about attendance being down. The thing is...I'm seeing it too and I was just hoping it was local.

Our local "hyperspace trials" has only sold 12 tickets so far, the "wave championship" was barely acknowledged by the community and most thought it was just a marketing thing by the store. Most of our players had zero understanding that these were the new regionals and store championships; the store owners don't know either until we tell them.

I'm also not sure that the change to "prime" championships is going to make much difference. But what I'm really unsure of is whether the problem is the OP or if second edition just took the wind out of the x-wing sales and engagement.

So community at large...are we seeing the decline of x-wing or is this just a momentary impact of FFG OP in confusing the player base?
