The dreaded check engine light...
Post Body

It finally happened. Hopped in my XV last night and the check engine light was on along with the VDC which turned off after a minute, and my cruise control light flashing. Seemed to be running fine so I drove over to autozone to get the code read: P0301 - Cyclinder 1 misfiring. The car still drove fine though, I didn't notice any difference.

When I got home I reset the computer and drove around a bit to see if it threw the code again or if it was just a computer fluke. No code (so far, less than 20 miles put on since flash) but it's really running like shit now. If I blip the gas it almost dies, if I slowly throttle it's ok. So my question is, is this from the cylinder still misfiring? Or is this the computer relearning the air/fuel mixture and will even itself out? I have an appointment scheduled at the dealership for Monday AM, but am just curious for my own sake. Thanks all!

I haven't. I purchased it at 75k, so don't know about before then either.

Hahah luckily it's still covered under my CarMax warranty, I'm going to let them deal with it all

Yep that's the only one!

I think for Crosstreks it's just '18 and '19. I'm hoping the dealership will figure it out.

Should've added that. It's a 2014 with 115k

What year is yours? Mine a '14 so I'm not in that recall group, unfortunately.
