Japanese tanks...opinions guys?

So yeah, the Jap tanks have been out for a while and I haven't been able to play much of them and I'm wondering if you guys could gimme some help? Just a couple tips and hints, letting me know if its worth starting the line.
Now I don't know much about how good they are but I do know the names are pretty funny. For example when I see the Chi-To all I can think about is this: http://imgur.com/mkVPVFZ
