I’m a welder and father of two small daughters. My work is labor intensive and my current hours are 5-3:30pm M-F.
My boss is asking me to work this Saturday. I asked my wife what she thoughts were and she said, “You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
The extra money would be cool but I hate the thought of missing time with my family. And I’ve been told many times by elders, “Never trade time with family for work.”
I hate the thought of them increasing my schedule but is it worth it? Missing time with them when I don’t have to is absolutely miserable.
Any thoughts??
