Isn’t that what humans all want, in some form and in different degrees? To know that we matter to someone, whether it be our partners, our parents, our kids, our bosses, our friends, etc.?
No matter what we as women do, men seem to accuse us of something negative. At a dating forum last year, a man accused me of “trying to be controversial.” In reality, I simply expressed my take on something. I suppose that a woman having an opinion not pre-approved by a man is pretty outrageous.
Why is being present or — God forbid — visible a reason for men to call us to task?
