The Japanese ambassador in Bangkok has requested an audience with the government of Siam. In the wake of Black Monday it is clear that the economic and political power of Europe is on the decline. As one of the only Asian states to avoid the disastrous consequences of colonialism, we feel a unique bond. We propose this that we deepen our connections and ties for the betterment of the Siamese and Japanese people. In particular, we propose the Kingdom of Siam pursues membership in the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. This will allow us to coordinate economic, military and political activities to mutually aid one another and stabilize our situations.

Of course, Thailand unlike China does not require the same guardianship, you are a strong and independent free Kingdom. This would give you an equal status within the Sphere rather than a protectorate.
