Policemen of New York goes on strike. With 91% fail to report to duty, instead going on strike to demand better working conditions and pay, the NYPD is paralysed. Without police protection, the city falls victim to gangs, hooliganism and riots. As the police force goes on strike, SPA party militias march to the street demanding the acceptance of their demands, which prompted several counter march by AFP militiamen, which turned into a clash in the streets. In the "Battle of 10th Avenue" over 40 people died and more wounded as militia forces opened fire on each other using makeshift and smuggled weapons.

In Seattle, policemen are fired over refusing to crack down on protesters and striking workers. In response to recent development, the IWW, AFL and SPA for the most part sponsored the creation of a Union of American Policemen in order to represent and protect the policemen of America. Many AFP and major establishment politicians immediately denounce this.

With September coming to a close and UAP representatives in many cities being purposefully denied permits for assembly, policemen who tries to sign up being fired, law and order in many parts of America are close to a breaking point. In the streets of New York the National Guard is deployed to maintain order, which in turn drove many former officers into being socialist militiamen themselves. Many Guardsmen with conflicting ideologies are also being reported to have the potential to severely undermind their safekeeping operations.

In New England, the riots continue, mostly in Boston, however the presence of Home Guardsmen have somewhat forced the presense of rioters to subside, most still fear that this will only defer the labour movement to move to underground. Up north in Maine armed squads of militia are reportedly forming.

With the election coming up, these riots will most likely tamper with how the election is going to proceed, but moreover, the issue of dealing with these riots in the 2 months before the election is also likely to give any parties the upper hand.
