The title is what some of my peers tell me when I have admitted that I'm losing weight.
They also say "Omg what? You don't need to lose weight you looks fine."
What I want to say is that I'm actually 50 pounds overweight and I just look small because my body portions my weight out well but I'm still fat and I can feel and see it. I hide my body really well so that no many can see but if you have to guess you would say I'm fat.
But this is what I actually say: "Oh thank you but I'm doing it for me."
I see people on certain platforms saying that weight loss is bad simply because it is uncomfortable and doesn't feel right so therefore if we are changing our body in a way that is uncomfortable its wrong. That's where I disagree.
Many things that we do to better ourselves are uncomfortable sometimes arguably more then weigh loss. If you are drug addict should you continue to do the drug because you body will go through the extremely uncomfortable and debilitating withdrawal stage? No!
If you drink four cups of coffee every day and feel you are addicted to caffeine should you not try and wean off of it because you will get headaches and feel awful? No!
The point is: change is not easy. We all know that but I feel some are forgetting...even me. So in reality I'm writing this for myself so I can look back at it. Weight loss is not fun in many ways but in other ways it is very exciting. The hard part comes first. Keep fighting.
