Shotgun choke question

I just bought a Winchester SX4 and was looking at aftermarket chokes. Does the constriction on chokes vary from one model to the next or are the choke definitions standard, as in IC is always .715.
For example, Carlsons has IC listed at .730 for the SX4. For my Benelli SuperNova IC is .715. Is it all relative the original bore of the gun? Seems logical that it would be relative, but that’s just a guess. Thx!
