Why I'm here

Due to what I think is the typical combination of anxiety and introversion, I missed out on opportunities when I was younger to form relationships and have sex. As a teen I was shy and raised a bit religiously, and I had some hard years in my 20s in and out of school due to family and depression reasons, then the pandemic happened, but these last few years I've been much more conscious on working on my situation and improving myself and my outlook. My friends and family keep me from feeling lonely or like some outcast. I have actually kissed in the past and gone on a few dates but nothing really past that. The dating apps are hellish and frustrating.

About me

I am an engineer, in a STEM major, finishing a Masters degree. I'm 5'6", 140lb, hwp, average bodied, I'm respectful, humorous, and empathetic. I do yoga or try to go the gym on occasion but I've been slacking now during the heavier part of the semester. I'm lightly bearded, kinda curly dark hair, and wear glasses usually. I'm into most nerdy things: gaming, reading, writing, anime, and I love film, live music, and picnics, and food. I listen to a lot of electronic and rock music these days. I'm 420 and drinking friendly, but only ever partake in social settings.

Hopes for you

Really I'm just looking for a woman who is friendly, patient, and kind and able to have fun in this situation, no restrictions on your level of experience or education or anything like that. Ideally we could have an expectation-free date or meet in public, maybe meet up a few times to give me some actual experience since I can feel I've built up nervousness and performance anxiety around this all.

Logistics

I am based near Downtown Los Angeles/Echo Park, but I'd be happy to drive around preferably in LA, or to OC, Ventura, SD, or even further for the right opportunity. When the time comes I could figure out the hosting too.
