I was just recently fired from my job, the sixth job in 10 years that I have either been terminated from or had to quit due to my mental health. I have just applied for unemployment but I also feel it may be time to apply for TDIU as I really don’t seem to be able to sustainably keep a job. That said I can’t survive on nothing right now so I was hoping for advice on how to navigate this. Can I apply for TDIU while receiving unemployment compensation? What are the rules for this? I’m able to work if I have no choice and am starving but at the same time I’m really not fit for sustained employment. I feel like I’m between a rock and a hard place with what to do here because I’m sure TDIU takes a while to receive if I receive it at all. Not trying to cheat the system here just want to do what is smartest to take care of my family. Thanks for any advice.
