Was it a bad idea to get DV Air Force-affiliated license plates? (Texas)

Post Body

Prior Air Force living in Texas, the minimum is 50 percent, but I am at 80 percent. I didn't know all the benefits, so I sent it at the DMV to get a custom disabled vet air force plate, but after reading posts here, people prefer nondescript DV plates.

Do you have stories of why nondescript dv plates are better?

How so ? I said it’s just preference ? I personally don’t like the attention, some do or don’t mind it.

The OP asked specifically about the custom DV plates that show service and stutus VS nondescript option.

Dont think theres a question about taking advantage of the discounts and such

You made the effort to get the plates for a reason.

You obviously wanted to show with pride the sacrifice you made to those around you and hopefully get some type of support or respect from it.

I think its just preference, im 100PT and i personally dont want any of that type of extra attention.
