As a recent investor in VRA I'm still trying to wrap my head around some of the specifics of the tech. I've been reading the AMA here and had a few questions. Apologies in advance for any n00b questions but I'm still only in the early stages of researching and figured this post could be useful for other new investors as well.
I see the great value add here for the advertisers as Verasity can prevent wasted ad spend on bots but can someone enlighten me on the benefits for the publisher? If publishers earn ad revenue on views (no matter the legitimacy) then what would be their incentive to use Verasity?
The AMA linked above mentions "Verasity has built a number of products to improve publisher’s profitability by 5x". How was this achieved? I feel as though this is a critical detail as both the advertisers and the publishers would need to benefit from the Verasity crypto ecosystems in order to see large scale adoption.
RJ also mentions, "Actually there used to be many video sharing platform projects but they fell by roadside because they tried to move users off of platforms like YouTube". Technically speaking, how do publishers onboard their video content to Verasity? Whats the uplift here for the publisher?
Lastly, is there any data on the efficacy of Verasity blocking or otherwise preventing bot views? What would prevent bot creators from finding a way around Verasity similarly to how they have been able to bypass capcha and other bot detection methods?
Very excited about the future of this project and appreciate any insight you may be able to provide.
Edit: Added the 4th question.
