Excel or Word documents not opening if the drive is Mapped

Hello,

I work at a CU that has VDI implemented. About 2 weeks ago a weird issue started to appear for some users. When they open a work document or excel from the map drive, the document never opens. If there is an open document it closes it and the one they try to open never opens.

It was working find until about two weeks ago. The user has to copy and paste to the desktop in order to work on the document. I'm fairly new to this and have googled and tried many recommendations but non have worked so far.

Anyone here can help?
