Actually an awful experience, based on a previous post I made here I got lots of good suggestions and advice.
I struggle a lot with the taste of hops in beer, to me, its an instant hit of what tastes like perfume/soap. I think it's a genetic/taste bud issue the same as coriander as I can't stand that either.
Any case, visited this place that makes its own beer, they have 4 different beers they make themselves. Lager, pale ale, porter and a belgian style.
A lot of things contributed to the poor experience, including not being greeted by staff when we were 2 of 6 people in the place, but in particular, I was hoping and expecting the staff who work in this small microbrewery, to be knowledgeable on the small number of product they stock.
I asked the bar staff, which of the beers has rhe least amount of hops in it and they were unable to tell me and said they don't know about that kind of details of the beer.
I tried the lager, instantly tasted of perfume and my partner agreed, incidentally she had a gin and lemonade and that was vile.
Plus, where we were seated, behind us was the rest of the industrial unit which hadn't been hidden or decorated at all, with forklifts and all - not a good vibe.
TLDR -
AITA for expecting staff in a small microbrewery, who only make 4 products to know details about the products to help me decide which I'd like?
