I recently (finally) got diagnosed with ADHD and received Ritalin after years of suffering and an additional years worth of misdiagnoses, maltreatment, and severe depression. I am so thankful for the Ritalin, I can finally feel excited about things in life again and actually sit down and do work. I had lost my ability to focus and read texts properly due to the severity of ADHD coupled with depression (which made life as literary scholar horrendously difficult) and I was overall just a complete mess.
I feel excited to be able to go back to making art again after years of having put it off, read entire books again for myself as a hobby, hopefully pick up writing and playing the piano again. Iām excited to write upcoming research papers and get back to the gym. I am just so happy and hope this can continue on.
