(M34) being trad and feminist. how to?
Post Body

I don't believe it's a contradiction to be feminist and wanting a trad life and wife! I believe in feminism professionally, and still believe it will advance society, as much as trans rights, for example.

But for me, my convictions mean that I can only really be happy with a woman who's really, really trad. Not because she has to, because she chooses to. That's a tragic oversight by a lot of feminist thinkers - that a woman must also be able to choose to submit herself to rule of Men, privately or publicly or both.

I applaud this sub, because I don't care about nudes, I'm a lot happier when I can talk about a trad wife life that's born from choice to do so. To accept the limits of each other's sex. Because a modern trad relationship is work for both Man and woman, right? A trade between Man's strengths and woman's strength. A perfect dance. I have come to love it so much. It has made me much more at ease. And I still call myself a feminist.

Perhaps if anyone of you has doubts, this might help :)

The statement "men and women are equal" does not refer to physical characteristics; it pertains to dignity and rights. Women are not inferior to men; there are women who have won Nobel Prizes that you will never win, no matter how hard you try. Be respectful; respect is a virtue. Traditional lifestyle is about respect and values, not about hating women.

Of course, it is a matter of choice and not an obligation, but regarding the branches of feminism, the truth is that nowadays feminism is something concrete and quite monolithic at the political level. Despite having less radical versions, they are also infinitely less popular and almost irrelevant politically. Therefore, I would never label myself as a feminist.

I know that many people on the far right and libertarians think that this is voluntary, and they would never call themselves feminists. That's why I believe the feminist label is unnecessary and could deter many traditional men.
