Late 30s married dads crew
Post Body

Totally used chatgbt to make this post

Alright, here’s the pitch: I’m a married guy in his late 30s, with kids, living just outside the GTA, and I’m floating this idea to see if there are other dads out there, around my age, looking for more than just awkward “how’s work?” convos at the playground. I’m thinking of a crew of guys meeting once a month in or around Toronto—where we can check out some city events or happening places. Kick back, let our guards down, and bond over the stuff we don’t usually talk about.

Toronto being such a diverse place we could make a crew of different backgrounds, kinda like the United Nations but Make it Canadian” group—guys from all sorts of backgrounds but who mostly vibe with Canadian culture. Maybe you were born here, maybe you were raised here, or maybe you’re just someone who knows the best ethnic fried snacks to bring to a game night. The idea is to mix it up—guys who straddle two worlds, blending cultures, balancing expectations, and laughing at it all along the way.

We all wear masks in public, but everyone has something they keep private—those little vices or contradictions that no one else sees. Maybe you’re a corporate hotshot who cries to ‘80s ballads when no one’s watching. Maybe you’re a Rabbi/Priest/Imam who has a secret foot fetish or a fitness nut who sneaks Big Macs and lies about how much they can really bench. Whether you’re the perfect suburban dad who lied about graduating university or a stay-at-home husband running a side hustle selling your wife’s used underwear that she has no idea about, this group is about dropping the façade. No matter how much it seems like we’ve got life figured out, there’s always some part of us we carry alone—and this is a space where we don’t have to.

What could we do? A lot, depending on what sounds fun:

• Pickup sports—whether it’s basketball, soccer, or darts (trash-talking mandatory).

• Golf practice—I just bought my first set and am here for the laughs since I slice every shot.

• Gym, fitness, or swimming—because one of us might actually follow through on doing a sprint triathlon next summer.

• Men’s spa or steam room—sweat out stress, swap deep thoughts, and relax like the ancient Greeks (toga optional—unless you’re into it).

• Catch a UFC or boxing event—or something less “masculine” like live theatre or museum afterward to make it a classy night.

• Explore the city or plan a day trip—because who says dads can’t have adventures?

Here’s the thing—this is just a concept right now, and I can’t pull it off alone. I’m looking for other guys who want something like this—guys who get the vision and are ready to step up, take the reins, and help make it happen by committee. If you’re someone who’s been craving exactly this—solid guy time to fuel the soul—then jump in. Let’s build something together that we all need.

And hey, if you need an alibi for some extracurriculars… this “dad crew” has your back. Whether you’re covering for a side piece or just ducking out of bedtime duty for some peace and quiet, we’ve got you. Just make sure you share the details afterward—fair is fair. 😉

So if you’re tired of playing it safe, need some real guy time, and want a crew worth meeting up with, let’s make this happen. Life’s too short to keep it all bottled up—sometimes you just need a group that lets you unwind, let loose, and have some fun along the way.

…………..

Im not looking to be the leader of this but wanted to see what the response might be and if there is any interest. If so we can make a telegram group or something and see what comes of it. This is probably some midlife crisis shit going on who knows…..
