So I've been thinking a bit about the two characters: Tangaroa Infinity and Wakan Tanka Infinity, and why their names are shown in such a way that makes it seem like fake names or just placeholders, and the other characters in Date Quest calling them Tangaroa Infinity and Wakan Tanka Infinity making it much weirder.
Additionally, dorokora.tumblr pointed out that Wakan Tanka has special lines for Wakan Tanka Infinity in his date quest correction, his date is slightly more unique if you trigger with Wakan Tanka Infinity: he and the protagonist (and curiously enough, Babes Bunyan) are the only ones whose sprites are shown during the meeting scene and in Wakan's monologue, which I double checked and can confirm. This means that, unless there is something underlying beneath, the entire event is far too ridiculous with Wakan Tanka keeps talking with "Wakan Tanka Infinity" throughout the quest.
Then I remember one certain thing about Daikoku's gamebreaking underworld shadow consuming power: its weakness (apart from Ellie's power). According to Tsukuyomi, you need to call out Daikoku's True Name, Onamuji/Okuninushi, in order to dispel his power, but the catch is that "you have to know that it's him inside Daikoku", limiting those people to only a few (including the protagonist). Likewise, during Virtual Summer Memories event, Otohime used the keyword "Palace of God Watatsumi" to stop the function of the Dragon Palace, revealing that if one said true name, all falsehood will disappear. With these keys in mind, saving Tangaroa and Wakan Tanka now depends on realizing who're the ones that hijacked their bodies.
Now on to their identities.
Tangaroa Infinity is obviously Sea God Kanaloa, Tangaroa Hawaiian Counterpart who's associated with squids and octopuses.
Wakan Tanka Infinity is a bit trickier, but going by the fact that most of the Representatives are the creator of their world, his identity should be Inyan, the primordial being in Sioux/Lakota Myth. Inyan is described as incredibly lonely individual who turned into stone after creating the Earth and various others, whose blood became waters and skies (hence Water attribute for his five stars), and the one who created Thunderbird. The two colored horns should be a symbol that he's neither good nor evil. Finally, Inyan is described as the one underlying under Wakan Tanka, fully tying all the so far hints together.
In conclusion, completing the rest of Chapter 13 may finally reveals their True Name to us, and changing all their present names in the textbox and alike to their real ones.
