Thanks to the new update, I managed to clear the shop & read through the translated event relatively quickly, so I decided to do a little review about the event.

• Heph's explanation about the "Antibody Program" (read:bikini armor) is very hilarious, though we sadly don't get to see what the Protagonist actually wear (with the other characters note that it's quite revealing).

• Although the story doesn't spell it outright, Otohime (or rather, Totoyamahime) and Yamasachihiko were most likely lovers (though less of romantic variant and more of caring for each other variant), making them the first pair of former lovers to be playable transients in the game (there's Suzuka and Takemaru, but there may be some deception from Suzuka's side given their myth). The only thing missing is that she didn't give birth to Ugayafukiaezu.

• The entire existence of Dragon Palace/Palace of God Watatsumi is very sad: a place intended to remove memories of pain and suffering of the visitors so that they can become their ideal self ended up destroying them whether they chose to bring those memories back with them or left them behind. Even Otohime herself had long questioned the way of the world of Takamagahara and actually wondered that those memories were really unnecessary to those people, given that Yamasachihiko originally left behind not only his memories of hardship but also memories of the years they were together at the Dragon Palace.

• Algernon gives us a very strange hint regarding Amaterasu and Michael: while both Takamagahara and Eden are very similar in nature (high up in the sky, banish what's unnecessary down below), some small differences may still be found. This statement hints that their alliance may not hold together any much longer (aka foreshadowing), given that Michael deeply yearns for Shaytan unlike Amaterasu's complex feeling toward Susanoo.

• Based on Shennong's words, he used to try to imitiate someone he worshiped/loved and be like them, but ended up broken his own body and heart; that person is most likely Nuwa (Now imaging the love triangle between him, the Protagonist, and Fuxi...). Also, he's probably the teacher who knows about the Protagonist's troublesome and flirtatious nature most.

• Beside his role as a wrestler star, Hombre is a surprisingly complex character, given that his main motivation for wanting to standby Tez's side is partly because he actually loathes Quet for leaving Tez alone in the world they once created (aka, another love triangle), and also jealous of him as since he isn't born of the sun he's incapable of being by Tez's side without getting burned to ashes just like Icarus.

• Heph tries to be on the supporting role as usual, but the fact that he finally takes the center stage to protect the Protagonist and Otohime whom they care about is really sweet. He's also not really fond of Otohime's method of sacrificing themselves for the person they love, a thought that he himself also ironically has from time to time. Him and Talos's relationship also works to remind us that there is an importance to both ideal and reality, and one cannot exist without the other.

• The whole implication about Yamasachihiko's story seems to hint that deep down Amaterasu is actually jealous of Susanoo for being loved by everyone, and no matter what she does no one really loves her the same way as him, with everything she does ends up pushing them away from her. In fact, she might even be jealous of Daikoku / Okuninushi since he's the only one who managed to free himself from being the burden of being World Representative and got to be with his beloved person.

Overall, it's a really fun and deep summer event, well worth the 3 years we waited for the translation. Now I can't wait to see what LW has in store for the second summer event toward the end of August.
