Am I a control freak? When I ask a question I love a direct answer. Ex: what day is it today? Wrong answer: we’ll yesterday was Tuesday and today is the day after Tuesday. So I think today is, the day before Thursday. Answer: Wednesday I appreciate the connection people try to make when they tell their stories but that sure is a roundabout way to answer a simple question. I feel bad because I don’t think I should control the conversation. Meaning if people want to spill their whole life stories they are entitled too. So I’m kind of at a crossroads and am just seeking balance. I want to uphold boundaries and want to make sure my conversations are efficient and effective. If we’re in a business meeting and someone brings up a past experience. It annoys me. What does that have to do with the meeting, but if they are feeling so called to express themselves who am I to tell them to repress themselves. Thoughts? Send help haha
