I think this show is great and I want to show her this series because of how weird and poignant and funny it is. It’s a show that connects to me emotionally but the problem is that she didn’t grow up with a father. She says she doesn’t feel sad about her childhood and her father is still alive just not in her life, but I still worry that something so tied so closely to forgiveness and reconciliation and emotional reflection might negatively impact her or open wounds she didn’t know was there. Is there any way for me to practice how some of our interactions might go when pitching the show to her or how she might react when confronting the fatherless parts of the show/her life?
