Wtf, right?

If Dani is the new leader and Legion fails to stop her and the resistance. Send a Rev back and save John. Both John and Sarah will believe this is the way it is supposed to happen, but it creates a divide in the resistance. Camp John and camp Dani. Everything goes to shit and the resistance looses. Except. John realizes the mess that's been made. Sends himself back to kill himself as a boy. Forever cementing his end.

Take this a step further, let John believe the Rev is reprogrammed, yet during the resistance war it attempts to kill Dani. Which makes John realize he's been used by legion.
