Hi all! I'm a single teacher with no kids and have been exploring various online tutoring agencies as ways to make extra cash since I've got free evenings and weekends. I figure this may be helpful to folks especially during the summer since we've (hopefully) got some time off.
So far, I've done:
Tutored by Teachers (would recommend- pay is good, good support from the agency. Call-out policy is a bit strict.)
Tutor.com (would not recommend- pay is very low unless you have highly specific higher ed level knowledge)
BookNook (just started with them, happy so far- I LOVE their platform, pay isn't the best but is acceptable to me)
I'm currently at varying stages of applications for Ignite! Reading, LingoAce, and Marker Learning. If anyone has experience with any of these, I'd love to hear it. If not, I'll report back if I get hired and see how I like it. If anyone has other agencies that they would or wouldn't recommend, I'd love to hear about it. I'm also happy to discuss any of the agencies I'm familiar with further!
