A bit of an unusual post this one but over the last few months I've taken up bachata and salsa and, while the lessons are great, I have no one to practice with outside of them and it's one of the best ways to improve. Before I say anything else, let me address the elephant in the room straight away by saying I know that my own ads here and on other r4r subs are looking for FWBs or things like hook ups, but this advert is genuinely me looking for someone just to practise dancing with. If you felt you wanted to go further we could discuss that, but there is absolutely zero expectation on my part, and I wouldn't even bring the subject up.
The reason I'm looking for someone tall and in decent shape is because I'm 6'3" myself, and dancing with someone similar to my height and body shape is much easier for me at the moment, as I'm still pretty much a beginner. Anything from 5ft7 to 6ft would be grand. What I envisage is either I go to the lessons and learn the moves, and when we meet I can show you them and we practise (but please remember I'm not a dance teacher!), or we go to together to a lesson (based mainly in Central London) and learn and practise there. Whatever you'd be comfortable with. This is a fairly recent picture of me, and I'm happy to share face pics when we know each other better. Even though it's a SFW post, I still have NSFW posts up, so still want to be anonymous online due to my line of work. Thanks for the tips, that was definitely how I planned to approach it. Getting numbers from other people in the group of all heights to practice with outside of class (men and women) but make sure they're included in that once I've managed to dance with them a few times in the class.
The idea being to create a WhatsApp group of people who want to practice outside the lessons maybe in a park or something on a nice day!
Not had any luck here yet, but in the class there are a couple of women that are tall, both about 5ft11. I'm thinking of asking if they want to practise outside of lesson but don't know them well enough yet to do that without coming across like a creep!!

Oh I'm definitely hoping to become friends with them too - one of the reasons I took up the dancing was to widen my social circle while learning to do something that I love. And I don't just want to do dance with tall women, but it would be good to have a mix of heights! When it comes to dating I'm actively avoiding dating from the dance lessons - if I was to date someone in the dancing and it went wrong, it would be horrendous and would ruin those lessons for me. I love dancing too much to have it jeopardised by a romance gone wrong!!
