Today, I'm patio and also work behind the counter so I was doing my rounds on patio, wiping down tables and sweeping when a special little snowflake decided he needed his booth cleaned right now. So, what does he do to get my attention? Not call my name which is printed in large letters on my nametag. Not say "Excuse me!" But, he snaps at me. Like a dog. My first instinct isn't to look up because it's lunch rush and it might not be directed towards me, but it was because he snapped again and said "Hey! You!" (which again is vague) but I looked up to see what is going on. All this person does is point to his booth and says "Clean it."
Things like that really make me mad. At least the woman he was with seemed slightly more empathetic and gave me a "thank you" nod when I was finished.
I'm just waiting for this to happen to me one day and i really do think i'm just going to let the proverbial fur fly. I don't snap or whistle at my dog and i'll be damned if i'd let anyone do it to my coworkers or myself.
