Finally seen someone that specializes in TMJ. She's a neuro-muscular dentist is what she said. Has been practicing only in tmj the past 16 years. My joints are shot for sure. Turns out the "clicking and popping" I heard was actually grinding. My bones have been grinding on each other for a couple of years. One of the, the worst one, has actually been ground to almost a point. I was starting to think I was crazy and Imagining the pain because I haven't been able to get answers. I will need them replaced. But I need to fix the muscles before I do that. I have my next appointment May 3rd to see what appliance. Only thing that sucks is it's going to cost me 5300 up front and that literally all my saving since I've been off work for quite sometime. But I feel confident that she can help me.
