We don’t care that much about labels ourselves, but understand that they are useful during communication with others. We are a couple that had decided that in addition to same room couple swaps and group play, we want to explore each of us going on solo “dates” with others. This could be with each half of a couple we’ve played with or possible single men or women. Those dates would involve sex with others without our spouse present but with their consent. Both of us would have this “hall pass” on occasion when the mood strikes. We also expect that the one on the date would keep the other involved via texts, pics, and videos in some way. We expect we’ll still prefer foursome couple swaps in same room or at lease adjoining rooms where we can at least hear each other’s. We also aren’t that interested in anonymous one night stands and much prefer FWBs where we can have repeats and build friendships where we also have sexy time.
Would you still call that swinging or are we getting into the open relationship or even poly space? Again, this is more just out of curiosity on how others view swinging vs other ENM labels.
