I've played fighting games basically my entire life on a pad. I decided to try an arcade stick, specifically an all button / leveless controller because I never really liked the stick whenever i tried them in arcades or at tournaments.
The movement on the left hand is actually not the issue, I've played a lot of pc games that required intensive keyboard inputs such as RTS and mobas for 20 years, so moving isn't the issue.
I am not sure how to position my right hand with the attack buttons, I never feel I fully have easy access to all 6 main buttons and especially not the 2 rightmost buttons (which I intended to use as shortcuts for parry/drive impact)
I feel my hand is always hitting the wrong button, mediums instead of light, punch instead of kick etc..
How do veteran stick players have their rand hand positioned?
