Big Van Vader is one of my favourite big men of all time. He's big fat guy who hits people hard. What isn't there to like?? But his WWF run definitely was disappointing. Though I will say he was older, had more fat on him at first and was injury prone during this period. That doesn't mean he didn't have any good or great matches. Here are a few I recommend to anyone interested in Vader.
- Vader vs Undertaker vs Bret Hart vs Steve Austin. In Your House 13: Final Four (1997).
Easily Vader's best performance in the WWF. He bleeds buckets in this four way that has odd rules. So it's an interesting and good watch.
Vader vs Ken Shamrock. In Your House 15: A Cold Day in Hell (1997).
If you enjoy stiff hard hitting wrestling. Then you have got to check this out. These two meshed very well together and weren't afraid to smack each around.
Vader vs Owen Hart. WWF One Night Only (1997).
A obscure match but a good one. Owen Hart is bumping all over the place making Vader look like a beast. All the while, Vader helps make Owen like the never give babyface.
Vader vs Shawn Michaels. Summerslam (1996).
A good match that should've been great and is sort of a tough watch for a Vader fan. But it's still worth a watch even if it kinda becomes a cluster at end.
Vader vs Undertaker. In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede. (1997).
The crowd was so into this show. During this match, they stomp their feet so much. The hard camera starts to shake.
Vader/Mankind vs Owen Hart/British Bulldog. Wrestlemania 13 (1997).
Vader and Owen Hart had real good chemistry. Now both teams are heels. So the dynamic with the crowd is off at first. But these guys are too talented to not make this good.
