Hey r/SquaredCircle, as some of you may already know, one of our dear friends and most tenured senior moderators u/Kentucky210, suffered two strokes on Dec. 23, and he and his family need our help!
Since 2014, Kentucky210 has played an instrumental part in the success and growth of our community into what it is today. He's been here since we were under 100,000 subscribers, and played an instrumental role in our crossover with r/Arrow, organizing the Pick Ems, hosting live and post threads, and so much more. More importantly than that, Ken's been a friend to so many of us over the years, users and moderators alike.
Kentucky is a 30-year-old 6th grade Social Studies teacher, and has dedicated his career to being a positive role model for children who'd otherwise have no one to fill that critical role. He is hopeful that with hard work and dedication to his recovery, he can return to the classroom and to his students.
His parents have asked us to organize this GoFundMe, in which they are the direct beneficiaries. It's important to note that outside of organizing the GoFundMe, we have no part in handling any funds raised; that is solely the responsibility of his parents.
With the medical bills racking up from a month long hospital stay, the family can use all the help they can get. Plus, modifications will need to be made to their home to assist in Kentucky210's recovery. He is unable to live independently at this time, and will be moving back in with his parents during his recovery.
We appreciate any help you can give, be it a monetary donation or just helping us spread the word.
You can donate or share by following this link to his GoFundMe.
Sincerely,
The r/SquaredCircle Mod Team
