I mean I understand why he has a double identity at all but to me, it seemed silly of him wanting his identity hidden even though they already know who he is. Like, I always imagined that starting in the Heroic Age, it could've worked out this way: Peter still keeps his secret identity with his lab mates at Horizon, Aunt May, and his civilian friends and his superhero friends call him by Peter ONLY when they're not out doing missions because that's when his secret identity needs to kept secret the most.
I kinda understand why he would have feelings of regret telling his super friends his real name, but it's not like they're gonna be in danger or anything like a regular civilian. So, I think he could've put a little more trust in them. I mean he unmasked himself in front of the New Avengers and the F4 after Civil War and you'd figure that the superhero community or all the Avengers at least would find out who he really is again.
And there are times when the other Avengers call him by Peter like that moment when Peter and Carol went out on a date, and a couple of other times in his history.
I just wish the writers weren't afraid to make other Avengers call him by Peter, instead of just calling him by Spidey or Spider-Man all the time.
Also, it should be interesting in ANAD Marvel because now there are going to be Peter and Miles both in the same universe. How are they going to differentiate between the two when they're in situations where they're part of the same team?
