So I'm leaning Spanish, still kind of new. I noticed that while the sentence structure usually follows English, sometimes it does not, which is what I am asking about.
a) Ellos son Pancho y Chica, los perritos de mi mama. (it's "the dogs of my mom" not "my mom's dogs" Why is this?)
b) Se necesitan mas toallas en la habitacion ("Needed are more towels in the room"? Why not "more towels are needed" subject first?)
I've noticed these are the exception rather than the rule, is there something I am missing?
I do read grammar websites. Just wanting to deepen my knowledge.
