Unorthodox solar set up configuration
Post Body

Hi there SolarDIY community, so I am stuck using a 24 volt system due to my other 48 volt charge controller no longer working. I have 4 x LFP batteries 200 AH that I originally had connected to my 48 volt inverter. I am now using a 40 amp 12/24 volt charge controller because I cannot afford to replace the 60 amp model, so here is my question:

I don't have a 24 volt inverter, but I do have a 12 & 48 volt inverter. Is it safe to connect the 12 volt inverter to just one of the batteries while simultaneously having 2 batteries connected in series to my charge controller? or for that matter can I do a 2S2P connection while having my 12 volt inverter connected to just one battery? I am just afraid something bad will happen.

Also, I connected all 12 volt batteries in series to my 48 volt inverter and measured each batteries voltages and they all read something different. I thought if you connected them all together they would charge each other up, share their energy and kind of reach the same voltage? balance each other, they do have an internal BMS does this make it not possible for rechargeable batteries to do that?
