Original Pete is the real sneak

Original Pete appeared to be an oaf up until the end of the first season. I might be giving the character too much credit, but Pete Murphy spun quite the tail while in prison in order to get a con man to assume his identity. In doing so, he gifted Marius with the task of dealing with his own criminal entanglements.
Somebody that appears as childish as Pete Murphy can't possibly have engineered $11 million in thefts without half a brain.
