Hi all! I’ve been on curology for a few years now. It was great for getting my toes in the skincare water, but I’m ready for something new. My chief complaint with it is having all 3 ingredients mixed into one formula (yes I know, the whole concept lol). My current formula:
0.02% tret
5% AzA
4% niacinamide
My skin tends to fall on the drier side, so using tret daily isn’t realistic for me. With curology, skipping tret for a few days = skipping everything.
My main concern is anti-aging, with redness coming in as a distant second. Acne has never been much of an issue for me. Are non-RX offerings of AzA comparable, for example naturium’s 10% serum? Or is there an alternative to AzA that I should know about for combating redness? It seems like most non-RX AzA comes as a serum as do a lot of niacinamide offerings. I would procure a separate tret cream. So with separating out the ingredients, what would my routine look like? Seems like a lot of layering of serums. Being that my skin is drier, would squalane be something I should/could add in? Right now my evening routine is:
-cleanse (kiehls)
-tone (Japanese sake high moist)
-Dr brenner HA serum
-moisturizer
-curology
-moisturizer
Thank you in advance!!
