So I happened to be outside of San Francisco enjoying the view of ships coming and going under the Golden Gate Bridge when I remembered that you can basically track ships and identify what you're looking at based on websites.
I found out that the one I was looking at in that moment was the Ionic Hawk apparently coming out of Sacramento. What piqued my interest is that at the time it had an unknown destination, I assume this is relatively common? I have no idea. But I thought I'd track it and see where it went.
I was bummed to find that unless you pay or something you can't track it when it's out at sea but only in national waters I'm assuming? But anyway, the destination updated to KRYSO. But no matter how hard I try and Google what that means I can't find out. It doesn't seem to be anywhere. Any idea of its meaning? Or a way I can freely track the ship when out at sea?
This is fun.
