i just found this sub & im so happy cause i've been needing to vent about the latest season of selling oc. gonna be kinda long pls read & share your thoughts!

ok so this show has been trash since the first season & i've continued to watch it cause i love real estate & reality tv. i love selling sunset, loved selling tampa (they need to bring it back, buying beverly hills etc. selling the oc is GARBAGE compared to these shows. literally 98% of the cast are entitled bullies who clearly peaked in high school. alex hall, polly, gio, tyler & austin are literally insufferable!! i liked gio season 1. him, jarvis & rose were a cute trio & they all seemed like the only ones to actually do their job & not be in drama. idk what happened behind the scenes but now that he's hanging with alex halls clique he's showing his entitlement & his nasty attitude. i remember being so confused when polly went skinny dipping at the beach season 1 and they actually showed it i was like wtf what clients would wanna work with an agent that does this on a tv show?! & this isn't to slut shame or anything it's just genuine confusion because this is luxury real estate there's a level of professionalism you need to uphold you know?

the vibes in the office seem like you're either cool with alex hall & her clique or you're gonna be bullied. season 1 we saw brandi & sean being buddy buddy with alex & friends & they had no issues in the office at all. in season 2 we saw alex hall act like a typical karen & act as if she was "threatened" by brandi & the brandi drama came because she voiced her opinion on alex hooking up with tyler in the middle of his divorce! since she didn't shut up & go with the flow they completely turned on her. & now in this last season we literally saw sean be physically assaulted by austin! & the sean drama came after he distanced himself for that clique because he said they're always involved in drama & being mean. but the nerve of tyler to say "get out of here before you get your ass beat" WHAT!? what are we watching??! watching this show literally feels like i'm watching high school bullies run around like maniacs & hook up with eachother!

the way alex & polly tore into kayla for FLIRTING with tyler (while drunk mind you. not excusing it but alcohol can make people do/act in ways they would never if you were sober) just for alex to suck his nose, polly be completely naked in front of him, polly made out with him IN THE OFFICE, alex dated/hooked up with him, alex & polly to be naked in a hot tub with him AND AUSTIN (a married man) in cabo season 2... like. the hypocrisy is insane!

& some people might say this is a reach but the microagressions on this show ARE INSANEEEE! the way they treat the POC on the cast is always so much more harsh than their white castmates. & if you've ever lived or visited newport or oc you know the racism there is very blatant & you see it come to life on this show. even the way gio implied kayla must've "done something" to get her $25 million dollar listing was crazy because it's like why don't not feel her as worthy of this property? why is sean a "psychopath" when austin literally was screaming & put his hands on him? why was brandi deemed "threatening & aggressive" when alex & polly literally get in peoples face every single season? even the way alex said kayla needs medication put a bad taste in my mouth because even when she had issues with jarvis she never stopped so low to try to tarnish her name & reputation the way she's done with kayla and brandi.

honestly now that jarvis & sean have left i highly doubt ill watch another season of this show. the constant bullying & dog pile isn't entertaining & it's a little triggering seeing the way these grown adults act for the world to see! i can only imagine what they're like when the cameras aren't around. i had to get this off my chest cause my friends don't even bother watching this show anymore after they watched season one. anyway i'll be waiting for the next season of selling sunset & wont be watching selling oc ever again lol

thanks for making that clear cause i've definitely seen posts about all the shows in here so i was confused by their comment lol

it was said that it was cancelled due to "low viewership" but i honestly don't believe that because i know a lot of people that watched the show. there were people on tiktok who'd review it & their videos always got a good amount of views so i simply don't believe they got low viewership but even if they did they could've tried again a second season. ONE season is just disrespectful & i hate to say it but i feel like race was definitely a factor.

her victim complex literally makes me cringe!! at least on sunset when christine was there & she was the "villain" she'd own her shit. she didn't start things then go cry and play victim. it's ridiculous.

it's very telling!! yk it's bad when there's a collective agreement that a show is trash

jarvis has been one of my faves since season one she's so classy & professional yet so good at putting people in their place when she needs to! i'll really miss her & i feel like the dynamic is gonna be completely different without her & sean cause now the only likable people are brandi, kayla & rose but you can already see polly & hall trying to recruit rose to their side 😭 i really hope they don't get renewed for another season

yeah i honestly wish i didn't watch this full season because i could clearly see it was gonna be another trash season but i tried giving them the benefit of the doubt & thought maybe they'd learn from the last season but whew i was so wrong😭

i still haven't recovered from hall insinuating that brandi was gonna hit her when they were in cabo. she would've never done that with anyone else no matter how heated the argument got. then to go cry to her mom about it like??? i really don't like that woman & i have no idea how she has almost half a million followers on instagram
