This is long, but I ask you to take a moment to read it. I know. Politics are touchy. I know it gets old. But you guys, this is important. This is about our lives. Our children's lives. You may be tired of seeing my posts about Bernie. But I am tired of watching my country go to ruin.

Do you guys understand what is happening right now? Let's talk about the Republican candidates and how they are using your religious affiliation against you.

Would Jesus sit in a golden house upon a golden hill and watch his people die while he ate his perfectly cooked steak and drank his wine? No. He would be down on his knees, feeding the poor, healing the sick, caring for "the least of these."

If you are holding on to one or two issues (LGBT/abortion) as your pillars for electing someone as president, I beg of you to look at the rest of their record. Their character should be based on how they treat the lowliest of people, not how they treat their friends.

Do you think Trump gives one iota if your child does well in school? No. He wants to eliminate the department of education.

Do you think Cruz cares if your daughter gets the same pay as your son? Nope. He is against equal pay for equal work.

Do you think Rubio will fight for the poor? No. He thinks raising the minimum wage will be an "economic disaster".

Now... When it comes to Hillary, she's just such a mixed bag of whatever the heck she wants. She has flip flopped on so many issues its easy to see that all she cares about is "being president". Do you think Hillary will do anything at all to stop corporations from buying America? Nah. She's being paid by them right now. They are bankrolling her bid for the presidency. I could go on and on about her, but I'll leave it at that.

I am tired friends. I am so incredibly tired of watching our men and women coming back from war with trauma so great that it haunts their minds. Physically and mentally broken. We do so very little to take care of their medical and psychological needs after they risked their lives to protect us.

Tired of Walmart CEOs basking in their own employees ruin. Giving their employees instructions on how to get food stamps and government assistance. American citizens are going hungry, staying cold and becoming desperate.

I'm tired of Senior citizens having to choose between eating or buying their medication. Of honest, hard working Americans going bankrupt due to medical bills they just cannot afford to pay...

There are 34 seats up for grabs in the Senate and 435 seats (all of them) available for the House. We could quite literally fix the house by not electing the incumbent. If we give the Democrats the Senate majority, we will get the minimum wage raised. Things WILL get done.

As you know, I am voting for Bernie Sanders. I am voting for him because he is honest. I am voting for him because he works for the people. I am voting for him because he has 35 years of experience. He has been a mayor, a member of the House and a Senator. He is a fighter for veterans, being a member of the Senate Veterans affairs committee. He marched with Martin Luther King Jr to give rights to those who were persecuted. He has always been a voice for the weak, even when it wasn't popular.

WE NEED TO STAND UP AND FIGHT. Use the power of your vote to make a change. Vote for people who will take care of you, your family and your friends. We have the chance to completely clean out the house and revamp the senate. Come on guys, let's get the liars out of politics. We can do this, together.
