Last Minute Schedule Change
Post Body

Hey folks! The cat-sitting client I have booked for this week has been housing a feral kitten. They were initially trying to socialize him and asked if he could be added to the original booking with her other cat when we met a few weeks ago. I said that was totally fine, I've got experience with feral cats, etc.

She's since decided to release him into someone else's care, and is delaying her flight until Saturday (initially, I was meant to start on Thursday) to facilitate to the exchange. She wants to know if I can accommodate the change in schedule, and of course I can since those dates were already blocked off for her booking anyway.

I'm wondering what the typical protocol is here as far as modifying the booking. I know how to modify it in the app, but I'm wondering if I will still get the full price of the booking since this is a last minute change and I was counting on that income. I've dealt with my fair share of outright cancellations, but schedule changes like this have normally happened further in advance, so I'm not sure how to handle it.

Will Rover treat the modification like a cancellation and allow me to keep the money for those days? Is it fair for me to expect that I'll still be paid for Thursday and Friday since the booking has prevented me from taking on other clients during those dates? I appreciate any thoughts you all have!
