Small suggestion: Having a slightly different sound effect depending on if a message is sent by an opponent, teammate, team chat only, or party (so you know if it needs your attention immediately)
Post Body

Small request all things considered, but still: it's not uncommon to find yourself in situations where you're trying to focus on a play you're about to make only to hear that telltale sound that informs you that there's a new message displayed in chat. You're then left with two options: do you stay focused on your own actions, perhaps missing a critical "I got it!" or important "Need Boost!" that would completely change your plans of attack, or do you risk letting yourself take your eyes off the ball only to discover that it was nothing more than an opponent appologizing for lightly bumping his teammate with a quick "Sorry!" and that, oops, now you've missed your shot.

Even just a slight pitch change could be used to indicate what type of message is coming through--an opponent's, a global teammate's message, something team only, or even something from party chat. With that, you could better decide if it could be something worth your attention in those critical few seconds as you're setting up a play, or if it's perhaps a message that could wait just a bit longer on the back burner before being read.
