Question about Out of Print Iteme

So I just got an email about some items that are going out of stock, and I am glad that I got it (Got Eureka Seven in Blu-Ray). But do prices usually rise for these items outside of the site? Or is this just them going out of print on the site?
I only ask because ive been getting into collecting stuff from a site called Shout Factory and their out of print stuff is expensive.
