I'll be in Newport at the end of this month to tour the "cottages," which I've wanted to see since before the Gilded Age show on HBO. I'm such a nerd, I'M SO EXCITED.
(We'll probably also spend a day over in Mystic, CT, so my cousin can cross CT off her list of states to visit.)
Where in Newport/Middletown do you suggest we eat? We prefer not fine dining but are otherwise open to possibilities! Although my cousin has a weird aversion to food trucks...
And, you know, if you know of any "cottages" that offer tours that aren't through the Newport Preservation Society, help a girl out.
