This being my first Range Rover, I was extremely excited to get this car especially because it was a brand new model line. We decided to go with the diesel because of the deal we were getting and fuel efficiency. We managed to not have to worry about a down payment because of our trade in and the technology in the car was totally mind blowing.
But 2500 miles some of the novelty and luster has worn off slightly. The little things of it being the first model year of a new line have popped up and it’s been interesting. I still absolutely love the car, but we’re starting to see some of the famous Range Rover maintenance things beginning to pop up.
A few of the things that have popped up maintenance wise / not working fully: - both screens bluescreened and restarted mid drive. The car worked fine but that was a surprise - constantly logged out of the navigation program - I generally drive in eco mode but the auto stop / start doesn’t always kick in - when I plug my iPhone into the usb jack to charge, the Bluetooth gets disconnected and the input switches to the media player, and since I use Google Music, nothing shows up. - already had two recalls and a repair. The DFE sensor had to be replaced and there’s a recall on the door hinge and front center console arm rest
Overall I still love this car. It’s imposing, the ride is smooth as hell, it moves when I need to, and people get out of my way (haha!). It’s also cool being the only diesel I’ve seen on the road so far. It’s been great even with two dogs and there’s plenty of space and nothing feels cheap. I actually miss driving it after being on a trip for a few days.
How do you all feel?
