Last Saturday, I visited one of café in Jakarta to saw my favorite author and asked for his autograph. I had just a little briefs about the event, it’s related with Refugee. On the cafe, they showed us many forms of arts created by many refugees from Afghanistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka. So many paintings, books, hand made arts, and these postcards that I bought once I saw them.

Just a little information, Indonesia did not sign the convention on the status of refugees. But there are more than 13.000 refugees registered to live temporarily in Indonesia, they hope for resettlement elsewhere. They are still waiting for resettlement, one of refugee has been waiting for 8 years for resettlement. Many of his friends lose their hope and decided to end their life. Yes, it’s very sad situation. They can’t have a job and I shivered to hear their stories. I don’t have single clue about refugees, except from news in the media. But on that day, I saw them and interacted with them directly to hear their story. Also I bought the books from one of refugee. He put his words into poem and it’s very heartbreaking.

On this post, I decide to offer the postcard from those refugees to my kind fellows in Reddit. I have 5 postcards (I already gave one to my friend) from them, and I will put the poem from the book into the postcard. I never have any requirements for you to receive my previous postcards, but this one is very special for me. I offer these postcards to flaired user only and able to write thank you notes.
