There are probably others but some of the cards might have made it to the hospital after I was discharged and some of the cards I couldn’t make out the exact letters of the usernames. But I was so completely overwhelmed with gratitude and joy opening all of these cards the last few weeks it truly made my day every morning going to the mailbox and seeing them in there.

Ive started sending out my own cards, and I’ve got a stack of about 10 waiting to be mailed right now so I’d just like to thank everyone in this community for bringing me something that gives me such immense joy and pleasure that I didn’t know I could have, in this simple act of human connection both here and at r/penpals .

Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all. I mean it. My spirits have been lifted so much and this new activity has given me so much to look forward to!
